Airthrey Lodge Stud is situated in the heart of horse country in the Waikato. We are a small boutique stud specialising in breeding Clydy X’s. We aim to produce youngstock that are sensible, talented, trainable and great all rounders. The stud has a small band of broodmares and youngstock are advertised for sale when they become available. We welcome enquiries from outside mare owners wishing to breed to our resident stallion Airthrey Highlander. Highlander is a 17hh Clydesdale cross thoroughbred bay stallion who after becoming a successful showjumper up to and including Grand Prix level, switched codes to dressage where he also achieved Grand Prix status after only 12 months training with the very capable Bill Noble. Highlander is by Glendevon Commander and out of a well performed Thoroughbred mare, About Time (Coober Prince).
